Autoimmune diseases occur when a person's own immune system goes a little bit haywire & begins to attack the body's own tissue as if it where foreign tissue or disease.  There are a number of different types of autoimmune diseases, but the common symptom amongst most of these disorders is harmful inflammation.  Some examples of common autoimmune diseases are: Multiple Sclerosis, Type I Diabetes, Crohn's Disease, Lupus, & Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Cypress Essential Oil

Helichrysum Essential Oil

Helichrysum Essential Oil is one of the most powerful healing oils.  It has powerful regenerative & soothing properties that make it a very sought after oil.  Helichrysum is capable of fighting free radicals in the blood which make it a very strong anti-inflammatory agent.  Helichrysum Essential Oil blend well with Grapefruit, Lavender & Peppermint Essential Oil.

Marjoram Essential Oil

Marjoram Essential Oil has a spicy & woody scent with strong medicinal properties.  It is very effective for treating inflammation related to autoimmune disease or injury.  Marjoram blends well with Grapefruit & Peppermint Essential Oils.

Peppermint Essential Oil

Creating an Anti-inflammatory Massage Oil to Ease the Pain of Autoimmune Diseases

Try making your own powerful massage oil by blending some of these anti-inlfammatory Essential Oils into a Carrier Oil.  When creating your own massage oil, start by blending a small amount of oils together in one teaspoon of Carrier Oil so that you can be sure you are creating a blend that you will enjoy & that will work for you.

Once you have come up with a blend of Essential Oils that you like, start by blending 30 drops of Essential Oil per 100ml of Carrier Oil.    You can add more Essential Oils for a more powerful massage oil.  Be sure to add additional Essential Oils slowly.  While all of these oils have powerful anti-inflammatory properties, adding too much Essential Oil to your anti-inflammatory massage oil could lead to skin irritation.
